The Golden Thread

National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are the most widely recognised qualifications in the education sector for current and aspiring leaders.

At present all NPQs are fully funded for staff in State-Funded Schools – but please see our Scholarships page for more details.

NPQs are part of the Government’s ‘golden thread’ of CPD which leads through from initial teacher training through induction to specialisms and leadership training.

Accredited by the Department for Education (DfE), NPQs provide training and support for teachers and school leaders at all levels.

From those who want to develop expertise in high-quality teaching practice, such as behaviour management, to those leading multiple schools across trusts.

Ambition Institute is one of a select group of national providers accredited by the DfE to design, deliver and assess the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) for school leadership.

We are working in collaboration with Ambition to lead the NPQs in our Hub region, including delivering seminars and conferences, sharing guidance and support and acting as your main point of contact for your NPQs.
